The announcement follows a period of consultation to establish the needs of the arts organisation, which consists of a charitable trust and a limited company. ION has a wealth of experience in the implementation of this product, since becoming one of the first UK partners to Sage Intacct in late 2019.

A cultural powerhouse in the North East, Baltic recognised the need to move away from their current accounting software, Sage 200, move to true cloud accounting and keep pace with their ambitious growth targets.  Their current purchase to pay processes rely on a high volume of paperwork and manual intervention, which they want to streamline and automate.

Through consultation with ION, a leading provider of cloud accounting technology, the decision was made to migrate to the cutting edge Sage Intacct solution, which is designed with a focus on delivering clear and measurable results, aiming to increase cash flow, increase margins, realise cost savings and more. The system gives not for profit organisations like Baltic the tools to go forward and achieve their missions and continue to make their highly valuable contributions for many years to come.

The ION team has already set to work, collaborating with the Baltic teams on the project which has an anticipated completion date in late April.
