In May, the ION team is pledging to walk, run and cycle as many miles as possible to raise money for the Sir Bobby Robson Foundation.
The ION team is taking part in a challenging month-long fundraising activity. Appropriately named ION miles, the ION team have each pledged an individual number of miles to be reached by either cycling, running, or walking. Although everyone has their personalised goal, the team are working together to get as many miles covered over the next 3 weeks.
As a close-knit team, ION has worked hard to ensure the communication between our team members has stayed consistent in the face of the Covid-19 Pandemic. We believe in the power of a great team building exercises, not only to upkeep a collaborative work force but also for team motivation, productivity, and personal mental health. Since the beginning of this ‘new normal’, ION has set out to choose engaging activities which can be completed remotely by our team in all areas of the UK and beyond.
ION is delighted to be carrying out this fundraising event, with all proceeds and donations going to a local charity to our HQ on Bobby Robson Way. The Sir Bobby Robson Foundation is an incredible charity that is part of the Newcastle upon Tyne NHS Hospitals Charity. The Sir Bobby Robson Foundation funds projects within the Newcastle Upon Tyne NHS Foundation Trust that directly benefit those living with cancer across the North-East England and Cumbria.
The team are delighted to be taking part in such a rewarding challenge whilst fundraising for a foundation that focus on making a positive impact for patients, staff, and local communities. In addition to the money raised by our team individually, ION is also matching all donations, giving £1 for every 1 mile.
