MELROSE EDUCATION TRANSFORMS FINANCIAL MANAGEMENT WITH SAGE INTACCT FOR EDUCATION FROM ION
Melrose Education is a new company in England with a powerful vision of creating an exceptional group of special education needs and alternative education schools. Led by a dedicated senior management team and experienced teaching and support staff, Melrose Education is poised to revolutionise education.
As a new organisation, Melrose Education needed to establish a robust financial management system to support their ambitious goals. They recognised the need for a solution that would streamline financial processes, provide real-time insights, and ensure compliance. Their objective was to find a finance system that aligned with their mission and enabled efficient financial management.
Melrose Education partnered with ION to implement Sage Intacct for Education, a cloud-based finance system specifically tailored to meet the unique needs of educational institutions.
Melrose Education wanted to realise the following benefits from their new finance system:

Following consultation between Melrose Education and the ION team, it was clear that Sage Intacct for Education would be the ideal choice for them. After selection of the solution, they defined critical success factors for the project:
- Consolidate all entities within the system, taking into account consolidation adjustments, eliminations, and goodwill/equity.
- Successful roll out of centrally managed procurement system to ensure only approved suppliers are used and all purchases are appropriately authorised, and expenditure remains within budget.
- Efficiencies are realised in terms of processing times for supplier management and payments, posting of transactions and month end reconciliations.
Following successful deployment and rollout in July 2023, Melrose Education now has a fully functioning Sage Intacct for Education system that will enable their business to grow both short and long term to meet their strategic objectives and acquisition targets. A custom consolidations report has been built for Melrose along with a central unified system that is both efficient and automated.
