About Bohunt

Bohunt Education Trust (BET) is an ambitious, high achieving multi-academy trust based in the South of England. BET currently comprises six schools – in Worthing, Portsmouth, Petersfield, Basingstoke and Wokingham and Liphook. They are passionately committed to inspiring children and young people.

Previously using PS Financials, The Bohunt Education Trust (BET) found that system was not best suited to supporting a growing MAT and lacked the required flexibility of accounting operations and process in doing so.

Objectives

The key challenge that needed to be resolved for Bohunt Education Trust (BET) was the duration and costly process to add additional schools into the finance system as the Trust had grown and will continue to do so. They wanted the process of adding new schools to be made with ease.

Other challenges were a lack of flexibility within the client’s current solution centred around data capture and audit trailing, such as the date staff accounts and sales and purchase ledger accounts were set up in the system, dates that bank details are changed etc. Bohunt Education Trust (BET) also desired more advanced and adapt able reporting requirements for consolidation of entities and cash management reporting.

Bohunt + Sage Intacct

Bohunt Education Trust (BET) now has a solution in place with Sage Intacct, where adding new schools now takes minutes instead of a 2-week process that they were unable to do themselves and had to engage PS financials to perform. This has also removed the professional services cost starting from £2,500.00 per new school to do so.

Consolidation of entities is now an automated process via Sage Intacct, providing insightful financial reporting to Bohunt Education Trust (BET),which has significantly reduced the manual effort required to achieve month end close in comparison to their previous solution.

Bohunt Education Trust (BET) now have a comprehensive audit trail every transaction performed on a record and account in their Sage Intacct solution which has moved them closer to their compliance and control procedures and targets.
